"Nizhnyaya Oreanda" Park is beautiful
during all the seasons. The combination of luxuriant greenery with
fairy-tale rock conglomeration gives it particular expressiveness
and originality. The lane of pyramid-like cypresses, blue atlas
cedars, brushwood of noble laurel, large-flowered magnolias, the
grove of European olives are wonderful. Eastern plane that towers
in the centre of the park attaches the whole appearance an exclusive
beauty. This platan is the biggest and oldest among all the ancient
ones in South East: 80 metres of height and 6.5 metres of trunk
circle. But taking to an account that platans live more than 2000
years in Mediterranean countries, this one is not more than a baby,
it is under 300 years old.
